Lockeland Springs is continuing its longstanding tradition of fighting crime while having fun. Lockeland is once again partnering with several other neighborhood groups to put on an event that is distinctly East Nashville: bike, pedestrian, pet and even vegetarian friendly! This year’s event is coming to a new location: it will be held at the Walden Development on Eastland Avenue where Wild Cow, Silly Goose and Ugly Mugs are located. Big thanks are due to these and other East Nashville businesses who are donating space, food, and prizes. Enjoy the talents of new and returning East Nashville musicians while building a stronger neighborhood.

Night Out Against Crime - Aug 5

National Night Out Against Crime - Aug 5

Lockeland Springs Neighborhood Association, Eastwood Neighbors, Historic East End and Historic Edgefield are partnering to offer our community an evening of music and fun. The free event will be held at the intersection of 14th St. & Woodland St. on Tuesday, August 5, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be live performances by area musicians, hot dogs and other refreshments, a bounce house, a visit from Fire Hall No. 14, crime prevention information booths, and plenty of good will! Please bring your own lawn chairs to sit in; also, we will be collecting gently used children’s clothes and new children’s underwear/socks for donation to local schools.

The National Night Out is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
