A Celebration of Home 2010, December 11 and 12

Lockeland Springs will have its 32nd annual holiday tour of homes, A Celebration of Home 2010, on Saturday, December 11 from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday, December 12 from 1-5 p.m.

The tour will showcase the diverse historical charms of our neighborhood as select neighbors welcome us into their homes. This tour will also feature the support of the neighborhood’s best businesses. Neighborhood artist Erin Borzak, a senior at Hume-Fogg, is designing this year’s tour poster.

Alegria, The GoodBuy Girls and East Garden will light up 16th Street with luminaries, live music, and a chance for all ticket holders to win a $200.00 gift basket. ArtHouse Gardens is planning carolers and hot cider; Pied Piper Creamery is serving ice cream; Allium is cooking up something special, and Woodland Wine Merchants is hosting a wine tasting. The Goodbuy Girls Band will be playing music from 7:30 to 8:15 on Saturday evening. Other home partners are working behind the scenes to help our homeowners dress things up for the tour. Shonna Sexton Studios, Landscape Solutions, Lynn Taylor of Taylor Made Plans, East Garden, ArtHouse Gardens, and Gatlin are making things pretty inside and out.

Thanks go to Karen Hoff and Historic and Distinctive Homes for presenting the tour and sponsors iDesign, Beth Haley Design, RosePepper Cantina, Top o’ Woodland Historic Bed and Breakfast, and Taylor Made Plans for supporting our efforts with their dollars.

Invite your friends and family to see Lockeland Springs at its best. Tickets are on sale now at Alegria, The Goodbuy Girls, East Garden, ArtHouse Gardens, Pied Piper Creamery, and PayPal for $10.00. If you wait until the day of the tour, you can buy a ticket at the Corinthian Lodge or at 128 S. 17th (corner of S 17th and Russell St.) for $12.00. See you on the tour!
